The reality of “clean, green energy”

Pictured is the concrete foundation for a 200 metre turbine presently under construction in Scotland.
This is one of the first of this size to be approved in the UK.
The foundation required 750 cubic metres (1,875 tonnes) of concrete. Bute Energy propose to build 36 of these turbines in Radnor forest, 18 at Bryn Gilwern and 16 at Aberedw (131,250 tonnes in total excluding hard standing for cranes battery storage units and roads).
Under their proposals the foundations will remain in the ground after the wind turbines are dismantled in 40 years or less.
