National Geographic features Heart of Wales line in best train trips for 2025

We are pleased that the Heart of Wales railway line is featured by the National Geographic magazine as one of the best train trips in the world to take in 2025 (click here to see full article). If Bute Energy’s plans are allowed to go ahead the pastoral scenery enjoyed by this line will be debased by the 200 metre tall Nant Mithil, Bryn Gilwern and Aberedw wind farms close by and by the Towy-Usk pylon line which follows the route. That one of the world’s best known magazines recognises the special charm of the Heart of Wales should be a source of pride. That Bute Energy and some members of the Senedd see it as a wasteland to be exploited is a matter of shame.
